"Do-oh-oh-oh-n't kid yourself...this life's too good to us." Name the band for me someone
See King Kong---not as good as Heavenly Creatures or any of the Lord of the Rings but it is a popcorn flick that borders on a completly satisfying action/adventure/drama. You will most definitely find it in you to squirt some. Some of the dialogue is clunky (ship scenes) but once the star arrives onscreen then the film does not let up.

Didja-no?
In 19th Century Germany men would purposefully scar their own face to give the appearance that they had been in a duel...

Make it like a Chinatown
I should be working on Educational Psychology: I'm not. What I am doing is slammin' down a blog entry. My roomates, save for one, are musicians. We have a mini-studio set up and have taken it upon ourselves to record an album a month. An album is a cd with ten or more songs or 6 or more really long ones. October is finished. A slow jam disco song, a gangster farce, a few plaintive folk songs, a few rawkus (mispelled) ones, and some balls to the wall sing alongs. It is entitled; "October: The Boys Lie for Cash." Now November begins and I am reflecting a bit and I think a good song may function like a good mystery. Characters are introduced and its a whodunnit near the end; the villian is the best, or oughta be, most memorable character (sorry Harry, I do indeed read for the villainy), perhaps more on that later; but a little more on villains now.
Ray Fiennes, new voldemort, lauded in every reviewed I perused on Rotten Tomatoes. If you have not read the potter series and wish to have your movie unspoiled, do not continue reading.........the show down, twixt potter and V., is going to be my favorite part of the film I expect. #1 Ray Fiennes is the man and just can't stop showing mofuckahs that movies like The English Patient or Red Dragon (and, supposedely, the Constant Gardener) #2 I get to see the new chapter on an IMAX screen in Atlantic City. I imagine the Voldemort's swept through most of Atlantic City. However, gin and tonics and a few games of black jack, is just the kind of night I think the dumbledore from The Prisoner of Azkaban could enjoy; "You'll be finding no small cups in this house professor."
Note: I meant to rant about one of the more tedious songs on the October Album but the drive left me.

The working and working blog...
Though I have to run to class I have decided that Mondays (internet day) and Tuesdays (internet day) are going to become my blogging days until I get the internet in my house. What's hot?!

I have no axe to grind but this excerpt'll amuse ya...
"If Madagascar is in all ways a sunnier place than Walt Disney's matricidal canon, it is also a correspondingly less magical kingdom."
I really don't have an opinion on this except for it reminds me of something one of my high school english teachers would say.
